01 / GLASS JAR TYPES & USES

Choose a glass jar by what it needs to do.

Glass jar types are usually described by intended use, shape and opening, closure system, glass color and capacity. These groups overlap, so use the application name as a starting point and confirm the exact model and lid before ordering.

Honey jars

Compare shape, target fill weight, opening, lid and label area.

Jam jars

Review the jar, closure and planned filling conditions together.

Spice jars

Choose the opening and cap or dispensing component for the product.

Cosmetic jars

Plan capacity, color, inner components, lid and decoration.

Candle jars

Select a vessel, then validate the wax, wick and burn system.

Mason jars

Compare capacity, regular or wide opening, lid and intended process.

Storage jars

Review material, capacity, opening, lid and storage conditions.

Pickle jars

Confirm fill level, opening, closure and process requirements.

02 / MODELS, SIZES & LIDS

Compare a real model before comparing price.

A useful wholesale quote starts with an identifiable jar. Send a product link, drawing or reference photo, then confirm the jar and closure as one packaging set.

Request the drawing for the selected jar and confirm stated capacity, dimensions and tolerances. A nominal diameter alone does not prove that a lid will fit.

03 / CUSTOM, MANUFACTURING & QUALITY

Build a custom order around an approved specification.

Custom glass jars are the main order path. For an existing shape, select the model and compatible components before adding decoration. For a new shape, the drawing, mold plan, sample and approval sequence come first. FEEMIO coordinates the jar, closure, decoration, packing and order-specific quality requirements around the approved order.

A

Use an existing jar shape

  • Choose the model, capacity and closure.
  • Confirm availability, dimensions and the jar-and-lid set.
  • Add approved color, label, logo and packing requirements.
B

Create a new jar shape

  • Send a drawing, reference sample or design brief.
  • Review the mold scope, cost, timing and sample plan.
  • Approve the sample and inspection basis before production.

Best Glass Jars Manufacturer & Supplier in China

FEEMIO supports custom mold development, glass color, logos and surface decoration, matching lids, retail packing and shipping-carton planning. The project quote connects those choices to the approved sample, MOQ, schedule and quality requirements.

How glass jars are typically made

The exact forming route and inspection plan vary by jar and manufacturer. A typical container-glass sequence is:

  1. Prepare & melt
Batch materials are prepared and melted.
  2. Form the jar
Molten glass is formed in mold sections.
  3. Anneal
Formed jars pass through controlled heating and cooling.
  4. Inspect
Applicable appearance, dimension and functional checks are completed.
  5. Decorate & pack
Approved finishing and packing follow the order plan.

Mold seams

Lines can appear where mold sections meet. Their acceptable appearance should be judged against the approved sample or specification for that model.

Neck finish

This is the geometry at the jar opening, including the closure interface. It is used to match a compatible lid; diameter alone is not enough.

Annealing

Annealing uses controlled heating and cooling to reduce residual stress after forming. Intended heat exposure still needs product-specific review and testing.

Before production

  • Approve the model, drawing or sample.
  • Confirm lid, liner, decoration and packing.
  • Define relevant dimensions, appearance criteria and project-specific tests.

Quality evidence

  • Connect checks to the selected model and approved order.
  • Confirm which records or reports apply to the materials, components and intended use.
  • Review packaging and dispatch requirements before shipment.

A record for one model, component or test condition should only be used within its stated scope. Ask which evidence applies to the exact jar and order you are considering.

04 / MOQ, SAMPLES & LEAD TIMES

Plan each purchasing stage separately.

Custom programs are the main order path. MOQ, sample work, production and transit begin at different points. The project quote confirms the selected model, included components and schedule.

05 / QUICK ANSWERS & QUOTE

Glass jar wholesale questions

What types of glass jars can I compare?

Start with honey, jam, spice, cosmetic, candle, Mason, storage or pickle jars, then narrow the options by capacity, opening, lid, glass color and decoration.

Can I order glass jars with matching lids?

Jars may be quoted with or without lids. Send the jar link and required closure so the neck finish, lid, liner, quantity and included components can be confirmed.

What is the minimum order?

Custom orders start at 300,000 jars in total, and each capacity, color or logo starts at 100,000 jars.

Can I get samples before a bulk order?

Yes. Existing samples are usually free and are dispatched within 3 days after confirmation. New mold and sample work takes about 1 month. Confirm freight, any custom-sample fee and refund terms first.

How long will a glass jar order take?

Bulk production takes 1–2 months from the agreed start. Printing or spraying usually takes 1–2 weeks; shipping transit is separate.

Can FEEMIO add a logo or create a new jar shape?

Yes. For decoration, send the selected jar, artwork, colors and position. For a new shape, send a drawing, sample or design brief so the mold, sample and approval plan can be reviewed.

Can these jars be used for hot filling or candles?

Do not select from a general category claim alone. Share the use and conditions, choose the exact jar and closure, and agree the relevant sample tests before production. Candle projects should begin with the candle jar range.

What changes the delivered price?

The selected jar, lid and liner, quantity, decoration, packaging, sample or mold work, destination and shipping method all affect the quote.
